Prospect Park has 14 hard surface courts, picnic tables, and grill stations.
From the south:
Take 787 north and get off at the exit for Rte.7 East. Cross over the bridge staying in the right lane. There will be a light after the bridge; at this light, take a right onto Eighth St. Continue to the end of Eighth St. Then make a left onto Rte.2 (Ferry St.) This street is unmarked, and you will have to cross through a traffic island. Once you are on Rte.2, continue up the hill and stay right. The two-lane road quickly merges into one lane. The road will bend right; after the bend is the entrance to the park. You'll see a light-brick wall and fence. Take a right into the park.
From the north:
Take 87 south and exit at the Troy/Bennington Rte.7 exit. You will cross the Hudson River on the Collar City Bridge. Pass the exit for downtown Troy on your right; then you will come to a traffic light. Take a right at the traffic light. This will put you on Eighth St. Continue straight until the end of Eighth St. Take a left onto Rte.2 (Ferry St.) Continue up the hill and stay right. The two-lane road quickly merges into one lane. The road will bend right. After the bend is the entrance to the park. Take a right into the park.
From the east:
Follow Rte.2 west from Williamstown. You will see a Stewart�s on your left, and then you will come to a fork in the road and a light. Stay in the right lane and continue straight. You will pass 15th St. There is a church on the left and the DWI Victims Memorial on your right; the entrance is on the left next to the church.
From the west:
Follow Rte.2 east from Latham. You will pass through Watervliet, then cross the Hudson River. You will go under a bridge and Russell Sage College. You will see Troy Pork Store on your right, and there will be a traffic light. Go straight through the light. Continue up the hill and stay right. The two-lane road merges into one lane. The road will bend right; after the bend is the entrance to the park. Take a right into the park.
Once in the park, follow the road straight up the hill, then to the left. It will bring you right past the tennis courts. There is parking above the tennis courts in the lot near the basketball courts.
